Spray Tan Information

How it Works
The primary active ingredient is a sugar derivative called DHA which, when sprayed on the top layers of your skin, reacts with the amino acids, thereby creating a colour change similar to a UV sun tan. As your skin sheds the tan fades naturally between 5-7 days after application. When sprayed the solution shows as a 'guide colour' to ensure a perfect application. This guide colour is very natural looking, which allows you to go about your day without looking like you've been in a mud bath! This then washes off after development to leave you beautifully tanned.
Spray Tan Care
Before your Spray Tan session
To ensure an even and long lasting tan it is vital that you:- Leave at least 24 hours between shaving/waxing and your spray tan
- Exfoliate and moisturise the night before your tan, paying particular attention to any dry areas
- On the day of your appointment please avoid using any moisturisers, deodorant, perfume and remove any make up and jewellery
During your Spray Tan session
- Tanning takes place within my spray tan tent which ensures that there is no overspray of solution
- Please wear dark coloured underwear/swimwear, whatever you are comfortable in, please note that tanning solution does not wash out of all materials
- Tanning takes around 15 mins plus a few additional minutes to dry
After your Spray Tan session
- Your tan will take 6-8 hours to develop, while it is developing please wear dark loose clothing
- Do not shower, swim or exercise within this time and avoid touching the skin as the tan may transfer to your palms
- After showering pat your skin dry and moisturise every day
- Your tan should last around 5-7 days if proper care is followed
- From day 5 start to exfoliate your skin with the glove provided to keep your tan even as it fades
